First contact: how to make the first consultation
Practical guide for making the first expert consultation: what information to provide, contact channels and what to expect in the response.
The first contact is the moment when it is decided whether the matter really requires an expert report and on what terms. It is not a commitment or a contract: it is a technical conversation to guide you.
Contact channels available
You can start the consultation through the channel that is most comfortable for you. They all come directly to Pablo Gómez Thoren.

Useful information that should be provided
In the first consultation it is not essential to have all the data, but the clearer the initial approach is, the more useful the response will be. With this information you can better orient the matter:
About the case
- What happened, in one or two sentences.
- Date or period in which the problem was detected.
- Location of the property, vehicle or loss.
- If there are third parties involved: insurer, promoter, seller, another driver.
About the procedure
- If there is a prior claim or ongoing negotiation.
- If there is an open court proceedings, number of records and court.
- If you act with a lawyer and in what phase it is.
About the documentation
- Deeds, contracts, invoices, budgets.
- Photographs or videos of the damage.
- Technical reports, reports or loss reports.
What happens after your consultation
After the first contact, an initial assessment is carried out at no cost. You will be told if the matter fits into an expert intervention, what specialty it corresponds to, and what steps would be reasonable. This assessment is explained in more detail in Case Assessment.
About confidentiality
All information shared in the initial consultation is treated with professional confidentiality. It is not disseminated or shared with third parties without their consent.
If your question is about legal strategy
If what you need is guidance on legal deadlines, type of claim or procedural route, it is appropriate to consult with a lawyer. The expert work is technical: it provides evidence, it does not direct the procedural strategy.
To take the next step, you can go to Case Assessment or initiate contact directly from the contact page.
