Areas of action and travel

Travel outside the usual areas

Expert actions outside Alicante, Valencia, Murcia, Madrid and Barcelona: case-by-case assessment and logistical conditions.

In addition to the usual areas of action, PG Gabinete Pericial can take on assignments in other provinces of Spain when the nature of the case justifies it. These actions are assessed on a case-by-case basis, taking into account logistical feasibility, the required specialty and the available calendar.

When is an out-of-zone performance assessed?

Not all provinces are part of the normal scope of PG Gabinete Pericial. However, there are situations in which the order may be raised:

Common situations

  • Cases where the client already has a previous relationship with the firm.
  • Assignments in which the expert’s specific technical knowledge provides differential value.
  • Situations where displacement is operationally viable.
  • Coordination with law firms that trust the technical criteria of the office.

How viability is assessed

Before accepting an engagement outside the usual areas, a prior assessment is carried out that considers several factors.

Key factors

  • Distance and logistics of travel.
  • Required technical specialty.
  • Predictable volume of work.
  • Compatibility with the existing agenda.
  • Need for subsequent court appearances.

Travel cost

Travel outside the area entails a specific cost that is detailed in the order quotation. This amount may include mileage, travel time, accommodation when necessary and other logistical items. Everything is communicated in writing before accepting the job.

Phases without displacement

When the case allows it, we try to minimize the number of trips by concentrating face-to-face procedures on well-planned technical visits. The documentary analysis, the technical study and the writing of the opinion are carried out from the Torrevieja headquarters.

When it may not be feasible

There are cases in which moving to a distant province may not be operational. In these situations, Pablo Gómez Thoren communicates it clearly to the client, avoiding accepting assignments that he cannot handle with the technical quality required by expert work.

Alternatives when not viable

  • Recommendation of a local expert with the appropriate specialty.
  • Remote collaboration if the case allows it (documentary analysis only).
  • Coordination with the legal office to reorganize logistics.

How to consult your case

If your assignment is outside the usual service areas, the most practical approach is to discuss it during an initial contact so that feasibility can be assessed before proceeding. See the contact channels, the contact page or the complete engagement process.
